Definition of Boolean algebra (1.1)


The Boolean algebra is an algebra dealing with binary variables and logic operations. The variables are designated by letters of the alphabet, and the three basic logic operations are AND, OR, and NOT (complementation)._ A Boolean algebra is an algebraic structure < ,+,•,’> where  is a set of numerical elements, ‘ is a unary negation operator, and + and • are binary operators. This collection of stuff must satisfy the following postulates (or axioms).
